Number 1 seed Denver Nuggets continued their quest for Championship glory when they eliminated high-powered Phoenix Suns 4-2 in the Conference Semifinals. Despite the barrage of attacking might imposed by Kevin Durant and Devin Booker for the Suns, the Nuggets stuck to their style and were led by their imposing MVP center Nikola Jokic who averaged a 30-point triple-double in this series with the Suns having no answers for the conundrum of the talented big man. They will look to similarly impose their will here against the Lakers.
The Lakers have upset the bookies after coming in from the play-in tournament to upset the 2nd-seed Memphis and 6th-seed Warriors by identical 4-2 margins. LeBron James was terrific in the close-out game 6 at the Crypto Arena with a masterful 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists with his co-star Anthony Davis dominating on both ends with one of the best defensive displays in the playoffs. In both rounds, the Lakers have had significant contributions from their role players and they will need more of the same diet here against their favored opponents.
With Anthony Davis expected to guard Jokic, he will have his hands full. As such this series demands of LeBron to be a bit more aggressive on offence. We fancy a strong start to the series for him and we are backing him to score at least 25 points in this game
