Sacramento Kings vs GS Warriors 27.04.2023
In what has undoubtedly been the box-office series of the first round, 3rd seed Sacramento will look to move ahead in the series when they welcome the Warriors to the raucous Golden 1 Arena in the wee hours of Thursday morning. The tie is perfectly balanced with both teams taking care of home court through the opening 4 games. The Kings almost stole game 4 right at the buzzer but Harrison Barnes failed to knock down the wide-open 3 at the end as the Warriors collectively breathed a sigh of relief having come from 2-0 down to tie the series 2-2. Star point guard DeAron Fox has been brilliant and they will be looking to follow his lead yet again here.
The defending champions showed yet again the resilience and determination not to go down without a fight as they went toe-to-toe with the Kings before closing it out. A brain fart at the end almost proved costly in the final 40 seconds of the game as they saw a 5-point lead to 1 after Steph gifted the Kings with the ball and a technical free throw for calling a time-out when they had none. With the Kings down 1 and with the ball in the final possession, the Warriors nevertheles got the crucial stop at the end to even the series.
The pressure is all on the Kings to not drop the ball on their homecourt here. The Warriors know for them to win this series they will need to steal at least a game from the Kings. They almost did in game 1 but just came up short. They are pretty experienced and have won on the road in the last 27 straight series. We expect them to bring renewed focus and we are backing them to pick up the win here
